I was very dehydrated from vomiting and the doctor at casualty mentioned this. Im in first trimester. Just wanted to know if other ladies got the same during pregnancy, was a bit anxious about anything through IV.
Doctors do sometimes use anti vomiting medicines in pregnancy when it is severe, but only they decide which and how much. Please don't self administer anything. Call your gynac if vomiting is that bad.
When my vomiting got serious and I was dehydrated, they admitted me and gave fluids and medicine. It was all doctor managed. So for heavy vomiting, go to the hospital rather than asking about specific drugs.
This is something only your doctor should decide, please don't take any IV medicine on your own. I had bad vomiting and my gynac gave me something safe under supervision. Always ask them first.
