Can foetus miscarriage in 5th week pregnancy from train travel?
Im only 5 weeks and i have to take a long train journey next week for some family thing. Honestly thoda scared because its so early. Can the travel cause any harm to the baby this early? planning to ask my gynac too but wanted ur thoughts.
I commuted daily during my early pregnancy. Train journeys are far better than bumpy roads, but try to avoid rush hours to prevent getting pushed. Just be careful on the steps and keep your doctor's number on speed dial.
The journey itself is safe, but the train smells and motion can make morning sickness much worse! Keep some lemon or ginger candies with you to handle the nausea. Safe travels, and take plenty of rest.
In my first trimester, my hospital explicitly advised me to get travel clearance from my obstetrician before booking any tickets. If your pregnancy is low-risk, they usually permit train travel easily, but definitely give your hospital a quick call to confirm.
Trains are quite safe, but honestly, my main concern was train food! Try to pack healthy ghar ka khana like parathas instead of eating station food, as stomach infections are the last thing you want right now.
I had to travel by train in my 6th week for an emergency and I panicked the whole way! But my doctor reassured me that trains are actually very safe because they don't have sudden jerks like cars or autos. Just avoid lifting heavy bags and enjoy a safe journey.
Trains are actually smoother than road travel, but always ask your gynac if you have any pre-existing complications first. If allowed, just do light walking in the aisle if the journey is long, but don't strain yourself.
Beta, train travel is generally fine, but in the 5th week the baby is very delicate. Don't take the middle berth, try to sit comfortably, and drink warm water. If you feel any pain or spotting, call your doctor immediately.
