Im 22 weeks now and my MIL keeps adding ghee to almost everything saying its good for baby. I do enjoy it but not sure how much is fine na. Anyone got advice on this?
Beta, ghee khana toh hamare waqt se zaroori mana jata hai bache ke vikas ke liye. Lekin dhyan rakhna ki jyada mat khana, bas roz ek-do chammach khichdi mein daal kar khao.
I remember being so confused about eating ghee at 22 weeks too. It is completely normal to question everything you eat, but a little ghee is actually great for your joints right now.
I had ghee regularly on my rotis during my second trimester, and it really helped with my energy levels. Just keep it moderate and you'll be absolutely fine.
Yes, you can have ghee, but don't eat spoonfuls of it thinking it will lubricate the baby, haha! One spoon a day in your dal is more than enough for nutrition.
Ghee is a great source of healthy fats, but since every pregnancy is different, it is best to check with your doctor about the quantity, especially if you have high cholesterol or weight issues.
Ghee in warm milk is great for mild constipation at 22 weeks. But if you have any severe stomach pain or other issues, please consult your doctor immediately.
A normal amount of ghee on your daily roti or in dal is totally safe and healthy. No need to buy expensive organic brands, just regular homemade ghee is perfect.
