Im around 4 months and i keep needing to pick things up from the floor or bend to wear my slippers. Har baar i feel like i shouldnt be doing it. Is bending actually a problem or am i overthinking?
Yes you can bend gently, just don't strain yourself too much. I had thyroid issues so I was super careful with my body and went for regular doctor follow-ups to make sure everything was fine. Ask your gynac in your next visit if you have specific exercises or restrictions.
Haha honestly, in my third trimester if something fell on the floor, it belonged to the floor. Bending is fine initially but later your belly won't even let you see your feet. Squat down slowly if you absolutely have to pick something.
My pregnancy tracker app had a whole article on this! It said bending doesn't hurt the baby because they are well cushioned, but it can put a lot of pressure on your back. The app suggested bending from the knees keeping your back straight, which really helped me.
Actually yaar, you can bend but try not to do it suddenly. In late pregnancy it gets so awkward and you can lose balance. Better to squat down on your knees instead of bending from the waist, much safer.
