My skin has acne marks and I had planned dermarolling before I got pregnant. Now I am not sure if I should postpone it. Did anyone ask a dermatologist about such treatments during pregnancy?
I personally stopped dermarolling the moment i found out i was pregnant, just didnt feel worth the risk to me. I kept my routine super simple for those months. I'd say check with a skin doctor rather than going by what i did.
Most derms advise against dermarolling in pregnancy, mainly because of the active serums people use with it and the skin sensitivity. I paused all my skin treatments and just stuck to basic moisturiser and sunscreen. Best to ask ur dermatologist before doing anything.
I had skin stuff going on and was tempted, but i didnt risk dermarolling while pregnant. The products that usually go with it like retinol arent safe. Gentle, pregnancy safe skincare only is what worked for me. Pls run it by a derm.
Generally pregnancy is the time to keep skincare minimal and avoid invasive stuff like dermarolling. Skin is more sensitive and prone to pigmentation now anyway. Save it for after delivery, and a dermatologist can confirm whats fine in the meantime.
