Idli dosa is basically my comfort food and i eat it almost daily for breakfast. Now im 3 months pregnant and someone said fermented food is not good. Is that true? anyone else having it regularly?
I actually eat idli almost every second day now! It's so light on the stomach. Are you eating it with normal sambar or making any special healthy variations?
Idli and dosa are actually highly recommended because fermentation increases vitamin B and makes them easy to digest. My doctor told me it's a great source of carbohydrates and protein, just keep the oil minimal on dosas.
I love eating dosa with coconut chutney but sometimes I worry if fermented food is safe. Did any of you eat idli dosa regularly without any acidity issues?
Oh definitely! I survived on home-made idlis in my first trimester when nothing else would stay down. My little one is a toddler now and still loves idli, probably because I ate so much of it!
Yes, absolutely! My mother-in-law used to make fresh ragi dosa for me for breakfast because it's so healthy and easy to digest. Just make sure the batter is fresh and not fermented for too many days.
Why shouldn't you eat it? It is one of the safest and healthiest Indian breakfasts. Just make sure the chutney is fresh and avoid outside street-side sambar to keep your stomach safe.
