I add kasuri methi in almost every sabzi at ghar, it just tastes so good na. Now im 9 weeks and got a little tension whether methi is safe during pregnancy or i should avoid. Anyone know?
Yes, kasuri methi as a spice in normal food is totally fine and actually methi is good for blood sugar. Just make sure you aren't consuming huge medicinal quantities of it without asking your doctor. Keep your meals balanced and keep track of how your body reacts.
I am currently planning and reading up on all these food restrictions, and it gets so confusing! From what I know, normal seasoning is totally fine, but please do let me know if anyone's gynac told them to avoid it completely.
Haan bilkul kha sakte ho, why not! Humare North Indian khane mein toh butter chicken ho ya paneer, thoda kasuri methi bina taste hi nahi aata. Normal cooking mein use karne se koi problem nahi hoti, so tension free hoke khao na.
Unless you are planning to eat a whole bowl of dry kasuri methi for lunch, you are totally fine! A pinch sprinkled on your curry is not going to do anything. God knows I needed all the flavor I could get when I was carrying two hungry babies!
I totally understand how we start second-guessing every single ingredient we put in our food out of love for the baby. You can absolutely enjoy your flavorful food with a little kasuri methi, it is perfectly safe in normal kitchen quantities. Happy eating, dear!
