We make methi paratha and methi sabzi quite often at home and i didnt think twice about it. But yesterday my neighbour aunty said methi should be avoided during pregnancy. Im 3 months in now and confused, is it really not safe?

Beta, methi in cooked food is fine and good for digestion. But the big spoonfuls of methi dana that elders take for milk, save those for after delivery na. In pregnancy keep it just as a normal vegetable.
Cooked methi in everyday cooking is generally considered safe. The caution is mainly around large amounts of seeds or methi supplements. If you have any specific condition, just confirm the quantity with your gynac.
I actually had methi in my food during GD and my dietician was okay with normal cooked amounts. She just said avoid loading up on methi seed powder on your own. So in sabji form it should be fine for you.
We use methi in many dishes at home and it was never an issue for me. My mother in law adds a little to dal for taste. As long as its part of regular meals, it is fine.
Methi as a normal sabji or in dal is totally fine in regular food amounts. I ate methi thepla often during both pregnancies. Just dont go overboard with concentrated methi seeds or supplements.
Methi is cheap, easy and good in regular meals, no need to buy any fancy supplements. I just added it to my normal cooking. Save the money for your scans and tests instead.
