I love mushroom sabzi and was about to make it but my MIL stopped me saying avoid it now. Is there actually any problem with eating mushrooms during pregnancy? Confused yaar.
Oh I lived on mushroom curry and mushroom fried rice this pregnancy, total craving. Just make sure they're cooked properly, no raw mushroom in salad type thing. Wash well and enjoy yaar.
Common edible mushrooms, well washed and properly cooked, are considered safe. Just steer clear of raw or foraged ones. If you have any specific allergy or condition, run it by your gynac, but for most of us it's perfectly fine.
Yes, normal button mushrooms from the market are fine, just cook them well. I made mushroom sabzi plenty during both pregnancies. Just avoid any wild or unknown ones, stick to the regular store bought packed ones.
Mushrooms were actually great for me during my GD because they're light and low carb. I always cooked them fully though, never raw. If you have any food restrictions from your doctor just double check, otherwise they're a good veggie.
Yes ma, the regular ones are fine if cooked well. At home we made a nice mushroom pepper fry. Just buy fresh ones, not the old slimy packets. Anything beyond that your doctor can confirm.
