Heard so many times that til is not good in pregnancy, especially early. Im 10 weeks and accidentally had some in a sweet yesterday, now im worried. Is it really an issue or just a myth? someone pls clear.
Medically, there is no scientific proof that sesame seeds cause miscarriage when eaten in normal food quantities. They are actually a great source of calcium and iron. Just avoid consuming huge amounts like til laddoos in the first trimester if you are worried.
I am trying to conceive and my mother-in-law told me to avoid til (sesame) because it is 'hot' in nature. But I think having it in very small quantities occasionally might be fine. Maybe you can consult your doctor to be safe.
I checked on my pregnancy app and it said sesame seeds are perfectly safe and healthy! They are rich in fiber and active nutrients. Just eat them in moderation as part of your normal diet.
A little bit of sesame on your burger bun or salad is completely fine and safe. But avoid eating too much til chikki or laddoos during early pregnancy just to be on the safer side. If you have any cramping or spotting, please contact your doctor immediately.
Arre haan, safe hai ho na! Traditional logs kehte hain til garam hota hai, par normal khane me thoda sa khane se kuch nahi hota. Just don't eat too much of it at once.
