I usually have sprouts for breakfast and dont want to stop now in my first trimester. But someone said raw sprouts can be risky early on. Should i cook them lightly instead, anyone know?
With both my kids, I ate sprouts regularly because they are great for protein and iron. But I never, ever ate them raw. Just pressure cook them or sauté them nicely in a pan with some veggies, and you are good to go.
Look, raw sprouts are a big no during pregnancy because of bacteria risks. If you want to eat them, boil or steam them completely. Keep it safe, don't take unnecessary risks, and cook them well before eating.
God has given us so many healthy options, and sprouts are full of goodness. Just make sure you cook or steam them thoroughly before eating, as raw ones can cause stomach infections in early pregnancy. Eat mindfully, keep a peaceful mind, and take care of your health, dear.
You can definitely eat sprouts, but please don't eat them raw as they can have bacteria like Salmonella. I used to boil them properly and then make a nice chaat with a little black salt and lemon. But remember, if you have severe vomiting or feel very weak, always consult your doctor first.
