The acidity is killing me yaar, especially after dinner. I used to take eno before pregnancy without thinking but now im not sure if it's okay. Anyone here had it while pregnant?
Honestly, skip the Eno. It has really high sodium content which can increase your blood pressure and cause fluid retention. Just ask your gynac for a safe antacid gel, it works much better and is totally safe during pregnancy.
During my first trimester, the acidity was so bad that I felt like my throat was burning. I was tempted to drink Eno, but my doctor advised against it due to the high salt content. I felt so much better after switching to small, frequent meals and chewing on some ginger.
Acidity is very common and uncomfortable during these months. Please try drinking a glass of cold milk or coconut water instead of Eno, as it is much safer for the baby. Take care of yourself.
I am in my 5th month now and the heartburn after dinner is becoming unbearable. I almost took Eno last night but got scared and stopped myself. Does anyone else get this terrible burning sensation and what safe things do you take for it?
Please be very cautious about taking Eno as it contains high levels of sodium bicarbonate which might not be good for the baby. Having lost a baby before, I became extremely careful and never took any over-the-counter packets. It is always best to consult your doctor before taking anything.
I am newly married and we are trying for a baby, so I am being very careful about what I eat. I get acidity quite often, but I think avoiding Eno and trying home remedies like cold milk or saunf water might be safer.
