We have to go to my parents place which is around 4 hours by road and im 29 weeks now. A little nervous about sitting that long. Anyone travelled this far in third trimester?
Girl at 29 weeks the real challenge is finding a comfy sitting position and the number of pee breaks, haha. Car travel is doable, just keep a cushion for your back. I felt every speed bump personally though.
Yes you can, I travelled by car in my third trimester both times. Just take breaks every couple of hours to stretch and walk a bit. Wear your seatbelt properly below the bump and you're good.
I asked my gynac before a road trip around the same time. She said short to medium car travel is generally fine in a healthy pregnancy, just avoid very long bumpy journeys and stay hydrated. She also said to keep her number handy and stop if I felt any discomfort.
I commuted by car daily till quite late in pregnancy. Keep journeys short where you can, take a small pillow and water. Plan stops if it's a long drive, don't try to do it all in one go.
For most it's fine, but since I had some complications my doctor asked me to avoid long travel. So it really depends on your case. Just run your travel plan by your gynac once, especially for longer trips.
Haan kar sakti ho, bas seatbelt sahi se pehno na. Beech beech mein ruk ke thoda chal lena, blood circulation ke liye accha hai. Long trip ho toh doctor se ek baar puchh lo.
