I've got a bit of a cold and usually I reach for Vicks for some relief. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm not sure if it's safe to use. Can I apply Vicks VapoRub while expecting, or should I completely avoid it?
I had a really bad cold right after my C-section and was so scared of coughing. I used a little bit of Vicks on my chest and throat, and it was quite safe and relieving. Just don't apply too much or put it near your nose directly.
Oh dear, having a cold during pregnancy is the absolute worst because you can't even take normal medicines. Yes, you can use standard Vicks Vaporub on your throat and back for some relief. Sending you lots of love, hang in there!
When I had a stuffy nose, I immediately messaged my doctor at the hospital. They said applying mild Vicks on throat or chest is perfectly fine, but avoid inhaling strong steam with Vicks in it. Better to confirm with your own hospital staff once.
I am in my 5th month right now and honestly I've been using Vicks whenever my nose gets blocked. Is it completely safe to use daily though? My mom said steam is better, but Vicks gives instant relief.
Applying a little Vicks is totally fine and much cheaper than getting a full doctor visit for a minor cold! I also did simple hot water steam inhalation without any medicine in it, works like a charm and costs nothing.
