Can intercourse during early pregnancy cause bleeding?
We were intimate last night and this morning i noticed some light spotting. Im only around 6 weeks and got really scared, my mind went to worst case. Has anyone had this happen, is it the intercourse or something else? I'll call my gynac too but just wanted to hear from others.
Haan it can, the cervix bleeds easily in early pregnancy so a little pink spotting is common and usually harmless. But if it's actual red bleeding or cramping, stop and ring the doc. Mostly it's nothing yaar.

Don't scare yourself, beta. A small amount of spotting is quite common and the body is just adjusting. But anytime you see proper bleeding, you call your doctor, okay? That's the rule, no second guessing.
Light spotting after can happen because the cervix is more sensitive now, but please dont ignore it. I had bleeding early on and my doctor wanted to check, turned out fine but better safe. If it's more than spotting or with pain, call your gynac right away.
My gynac explained that during pregnancy blood flow to the cervix increases so it can spot a little after intercourse, totally common in first trimester. She said unless it's heavy, bright red or with strong cramps, no need to worry. Still she told me to mention any bleeding at the next visit just to track it.
