Can iron pills makes stomach gas during pregnancy?
Since i started the iron tablets my stomach feels so bloated and full of gas all the time. its uncomfortable na. is it the iron doing this or something else? anyone faced the same with their iron supplement?
Yes, iron tablets gave me gas and constipation both times, its very common. Drinking lots of water and eating fibre helped. Taking it after food instead of empty stomach made a big difference for me.
Gas and constipation from iron is normal but dont stop the tablets on your own, iron is important. Just tell your doctor, sometimes they switch the brand or change timing. Plenty of water and fibre helps meanwhile.
Oh totally, iron made my tummy so bloated and heavy. I started taking it at a different time of day and with food, that eased it. If its really troubling you, ask your gynac if the timing or type can be adjusted.
