I have a bunch of ovulation strips left over and im too impatient to buy a pregnancy test. Read somewhere they can show positive but not sure. Has anyone tried this actually?
Oh, dear, you're asking about detecting pregnancy, that's such an exciting time. From my experience, ovulation strips are for ovulation, not pregnancy. For pregnancy, you really need a proper pregnancy test kit or a blood test. Don't rely on ovulation strips for that, okay? You want accurate results.
I've heard some people say that, but my gynac said it's not accurate at all. I only used proper pregnancy kits when I was trying. Are you getting a line on your ovulation strip and wondering? Maybe just take a proper pregnancy test to be sure, it's the safest way.
I heard some people say they can detect pregnancy but it's not reliable at all, it can just confuse you. I was so anxious when I was trying to conceive, I used proper pregnancy tests only. Did anyone here accidentally get a positive on an ovulation strip and then find out they were pregnant?
I totally understand the excitement and eagerness to know! But ovulation strips are designed to detect a different hormone (LH) than pregnancy tests (hCG). While they might show a faint line sometimes if hCG is high, it's not reliable for confirming pregnancy. Please use a proper pregnancy test kit for accurate results, dear.
As a breastfeeding mom, I've used ovulation strips to track cycles, and they are definitely not for pregnancy detection. They measure LH hormone, which surges before ovulation. For pregnancy, you need a test that looks for hCG. It's best to use the correct tool for the job to avoid any confusion or false hope.
Beta, these new-new things, sometimes they confuse us. For pregnancy, use the special pregnancy test kit only. Ovulation strips are for knowing when you can conceive. Better to do things the proper way for such important news, na? Don't mix them up.
