Test came positive but its very early, maybe 5 weeks. Gynac asked me to come for a scan and im wondering if it can even show anything this soon or its too early. Has anyone had a scan done this early?
I had a scan at 5 weeks and they could see the sac but not heartbeat yet, made me nervous. Did anyone else go that early? Doctor said come again in 2 weeks and it was fine.
Yes, a pelvic or transvaginal ultrasound can pick it up early, my doctor saw the sac around 5 to 6 weeks. The vaginal one detects earlier than the tummy scan. She said the heartbeat usually shows a bit after that, so dont panic if first scan is too early.
It can, but going too early often just shows an empty sac and scares you. I went around 6 to 7 weeks both times and that was the right call. Let your gynac decide the timing.
