Can polyhydramnios occurs in 16 th week of pregnancy?
My gynac mentioned my fluid is slightly more than expected and im only 16 weeks. Im going to ask her in detail next visit but till then im a bit worried. Can this really happen this early?
Because of my PCOS history, I was always anxious about unusual scan results. Finding polyhydramnios at 16 weeks is something your doctor needs to evaluate closely. Please book an appointment with your gynac to discuss what this means for your baby.
Sometimes high fluid levels are linked to maternal blood sugar levels, though 16 weeks is early. Since I had gestational diabetes, I had to be very strict with my diet and check-ups. Definitely consult your gynac to see if you need any specific sugar tests or extra monitoring.
Excess amniotic fluid at 16 weeks is not very common, so it definitely requires a proper follow-up with your gynecologist. Don't panic, but make sure you get a detailed ultrasound done by a good fetal medicine specialist as recommended by your doctor.
While it typically happens later, amniotic fluid levels can fluctuate early on too. I had minor fluid issues during my pregnancy, but careful monitoring by my doctor helped us manage it. Please speak directly to your doctor to understand your scan reports clearly.
Polyhydramnios is usually detected later in the second or third trimester, so finding it at 16 weeks is quite early. It's really important to consult your gynac for a detailed anomaly scan to find the exact reason. Please dont ignore this and follow up closely.
I have been reading up on various pregnancy conditions, and early polyhydramnios sounds like something that needs specialized medical attention. Please share your scan reports with your doctor as they can guide you best on the next steps.
Oh dear, let the doctor do the worrying for this one! 16 weeks is quite early for high fluid levels to show up. Just ask your gynac to explain the ultrasound report clearly so you can stop googling and stressing.
