Things at home have been really tense lately and i cry almost every day, im in my second trimester. Now im worried all this stress is reaching the baby and harming it. Is this something to actually be scared about?
I was a bundle of nerves through my whole pregnancy after IVF and my baby was perfectly fine. Try to be gentle with yourself. If anxiety feels too much, please reach out to your doctor, there is no shame in asking for support.
Look, you cant avoid all stress in life, dont put that pressure on yourself. Just dont let it become daily and constant. Walks, deep breathing, sleeping well, these helped me a lot both times.
My doctor told me occasional stress is okay, the baby is well protected. But long term chronic stress can affect things like BP and sleep which then affect pregnancy. So managing it matters more than eliminating it completely.
Beta, your body is stronger than you think and it shields the baby. A little worry now and then is part of being a mom to be. Just rest, eat well and dont let stress sit on you for weeks together.
Dont stress about stressing, that just makes it worse haha. Honestly the odd bad day is totally fine. If you feel overwhelmed a lot though, please talk to your gynac, they take this seriously and can help.
First of all, feeling stressed sometimes is so normal, dont feel guilty about it. A little everyday stress wont harm your baby. Its the constant heavy stress over long time thats not good, so try to take breaks and talk to someone when it builds up.
Try to keep your mind calm and surround yourself with positive things. A peaceful mom makes a happy baby in my belief. Small worries are fine, just dont carry heavy tension all the time.
