Can tablets affect pregnancy test?

I was on some medication for a few days before i took the test at home. Now im wondering if that could mess up the result and give wrong line. Has this happened to anyone?

My doctor said most regular tablets dont affect the result, but some fertility shots that contain hCG can give a false positive. So timing matters if you took any such injection. Best to mention any meds to your doctor.

During my IVF the hCG trigger shot can make a home test show positive falsely, so my clinic told me to wait and do a blood test instead. If you are on fertility meds, please confirm through blood test, dont go by the strip alone.
