I am also planning to conceive and have a trip coming up next month. I keep wondering if early travel is safe, or if we should cancel it to avoid risks. Let me know what you ladies think!
If you travel and face any emergency, finding a good hospital in a new city can be very expensive and stressful. I preferred staying home in my first trimester to avoid unnecessary travel risks and extra scan costs. Plan practically!
Actually, first trimester is thoda risky, yaar. Our roads have so many potholes, so traveling by auto or local train is best avoided. If you must go, go by a comfortable car and drive slowly.
If you must travel, just keep a positive mind, sit comfortably, and don't lift heavy bags. Praying for your safety and well-being. Take care of yourself.
Since first trimester is very delicate, especially for precious pregnancies, I would suggest avoiding long or bumpy journeys. If travel is absolutely necessary, please consult your doctor first to make sure there are no risks.
Personally, I avoided travel in my first month because the nausea was so bad and road bumps made me feel worse. If your doctor gives you green signal and there's no bleeding or pain, short flights are usually okay. Just take frequent breaks.
