I had a small fibroid before i conceived and now im pregnant 9 weeks. Bit worried whether it will cause any problem for the baby or my pregnancy. Anyone here went through this? would love to hear.
Honestly, it completely depends on where the fibroid is located and how big it is. Many of my colleagues had fibroids and delivered healthy babies without any issues at all. Just stick to your scheduled scans and don't skip your doctor appointments because of your busy work schedule.
I was also reading about this because my husband and I are planning to start a family soon. I have heard that small fibroids usually don't cause any issues with conceiving or pregnancy. Maybe you can consult a kind gynac who can explain your scan reports and reassure you.
Having dealt with PCOS, I know how scary scan reports can be when they mention things like fibroids. They can sometimes cause mild pain or change position, but many women have perfectly safe pregnancies with them. It is best not to worry too much and let your gynac guide you based on their size and location.
According to the medical articles on my pregnancy tracker, most fibroids don't grow or cause any trouble during pregnancy. However, in some cases, hormones can make them grow, which might cause discomfort. It's best to track their size through your regular ultrasounds as advised by your doctor.
I understand you must be so worried right now, but please take a deep breath. Fibroids are actually very common, and in most cases, they don't affect the baby at all. Just keep your doctor in the loop if you feel any unusual pain, and focus on staying relaxed.
