Can we able to conceive after having sotret 20 medicine?

I was on sotret 20 for my acne some months back and stopped it already. Now me and my husband are planning for a baby and im a little worried if it affects conceiving or the baby. Anyone been through this?

Generally yes you can conceive after stopping it, but timing matters a lot because its not safe during pregnancy. The safe gap is something only your doctor can confirm based on when you took the last dose. Please dont start trying without checking with them first.

This is really one to ask the doctor, not the community yaar. Sotret type medicines need a proper waiting gap after stopping before you try to conceive. Just be honest with your gynac about when you took it, they will tell you when its safe.

I had the same question when i was on acne treatment before marriage. My doctor made me stop and wait a while before we started trying. I would gently say please confirm the waiting period with your doctor, just to be fully safe for the baby.

I took similar skin medicine for acne before planning baby, and my derma told me to stop it well before trying. These medicines are not safe in pregnancy, so the rule is wait the time the doctor says after stopping. Please ask your dermatologist and gynac together on exact gap, dont guess.
