Can we apply henna during pregnancy?

Theres a function at home next week and i usually put mehndi on my hands. Now im 5 months along and my MIL said be careful. Is normal henna okay during pregnancy or should i skip it?

Beta natural pure mehndi on hands is fine, we always applied it in festivals. Just avoid the black chemical cones, those have harsh stuff. Stick to the plain henna paste.

My family applied marudhani during pregnancy as a tradition na. Pure henna is harmless and even cooling they say. Just nothing artificial added to it.

Haan natural mehndi is okay na, I applied it for karwa chauth while pregnant. Bas that black one avoid karo, it can irritate skin. Pure wali is totally fine.

Natural henna is fine, but my skin got sensitive in pregnancy so I patch tested first. If you have any allergy or reaction, do check with your doctor. The black chemical mehndi I avoided completely.

I only used the homemade natural henna, smelled lovely and was safe. Skip anything with chemicals or PPD added. If your skin reacts at all, then check with doctor.
