I used to do surya namaskar daily before and i really miss my routine. Now in first trimester im not sure if i can continue ya it is risky. Anyone did it during pregnancy?
Listen to me, please don't try complex yoga poses right now. Your body is already working so hard to grow the baby. If you really want to stay active, just stick to a gentle 15-minute evening walk. We want you and the baby safe!
Beta, during our times, we used to do daily household chores which was exercise enough. Surya namaskar has too many bends which might not be safe now. Better to do simple walks and take some warm ginger tea if you feel stiff.
Staying active definitely helped me have a smooth normal delivery, but I kept my exercise very simple. I avoided surya namaskar because of the belly pressure in the plank and cobra poses. Mild stretching is much better and safer.
I love staying active, but honestly, I only did basic walking and modified yoga because my doctor strictly told me to avoid heavy stretches. Doing full surya namaskar can put too much pressure on the belly, so please check with your gynac first!
I just delivered my baby last month, and throughout my pregnancy, I avoided surya namaskar. My yoga trainer modified all my stretches to keep my core safe. Please don't do it without an expert trainer who knows pregnancy yoga.
