I usually drink Boost in milk every day for energy. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm not sure if it's still a good idea. Can we continue to drink Boost during pregnancy, or should I stop?
I totally get those sweet milk cravings during pregnancy, they were so real for me! I used to drink a small cup of milk with Boost sometimes to feel better. Just don't have too much because of the sugar, take care of your body!
Just had my baby boy last month! I used to drink Boost in milk because plain milk made me feel so nauseous. It was totally fine for me, but my doc told me to limit the sugar, so I only added one spoon.
Oh god, milk was my enemy when I had morning sickness, but adding Boost sometimes helped me get some calcium down. It is safe, but please don't drink it on an empty stomach if you have high acidity. Try having a dry biscuit with it.
It's basically a malted drink with cocoa and vitamins, so it's generally safe in normal amounts. Just keep an eye on the sugar content, especially if your doctor is checking you for gestational diabetes. A little bit now and then is perfectly fine.
I actually asked my nutritionist at the hospital about this because I wanted some chocolate flavor in my milk. She said a spoon of Boost occasionally is fine, but they usually recommend maternal nutrition drinks instead. Better to ask your own gynac or hospital dietitian during your next visit.
Ghar pe my MIL was insisting I drink saffron milk or badam milk, but I was dying for some chocolate taste! I used to secretly mix a little Boost in my hot milk sometimes. It's totally safe, just don't make it a habit every day, as elders prefer more natural things.
