Can we drink coconut water during pregnancy first trimester?
Everyone keeps telling me to drink coconut water daily for the baby but i read somewhere that early pregnancy is sensitive. Im just 8 weeks. Is it okay to have it now or should i wait till later? thoda confused.
Yes definitely, coconut water was my go to in the first trimester, so soothing when nausea hit. My family believes its very good for the baby too. Just drink fresh tender coconut, not the packaged sugary ones.
Its generally fine and natural, but it does have some natural sugar, so if you have any sugar concern keep it to about a glass and check with your doc. For most people in first trimester its a healthy choice.
Honestly coconut water was a lifesaver during my worst nausea weeks. It kept me hydrated when i couldnt keep much else down. Fresh nariyal pani, a glass a day worked great for me.
Yes its safe and good for hydration from day one. Just dont treat it as a magic drink and have it in normal amounts. Always fresh, avoid the bottled ones with added sugar.
I was nervous about every food in my first trimester but coconut water was one thing my gynac happily okayed. Made me feel less queasy too. Glad to see everyone agrees its fine.
