I'm craving gobi manchurian very badly, but I'm pregnant. I wanted to check if it's safe to eat gobi manchurian during pregnancy, or if I should avoid it.
My hospital dietitian specifically told me that outer street food should be avoided due to infection risks. If you really want it, try making it at home under clean conditions, or strictly ask your gynecologist if a little outside treat is fine.
I think we can eat if it is homemade and safe. Outside food might have ajinomoto which people say we should avoid. Maybe you can try making a healthy version at home, it might satisfy the craving gently.
Be very careful because Manchurian has maida coating and sweet sauces, which can shoot up your sugar levels quickly. Since I had gestational diabetes, I had to avoid it completely. If you eat it, have a very small portion and lots of veggies.
Oh my god I craved this so much during my pregnancy! I recently delivered my baby and honestly, I ate it a couple of times. Just make sure you get it from a very hygienic place and tell them to put less MSG and colors.
