I love pudina, used to put it in chutney and chaas all the time before. Now im in my first trimester and a bit unsure about everything i eat. Is mint safe or should i avoid it for now?
In small amounts like in chutney or pudina pani its generally fine, I had it sometimes when I felt nauseous. Just dont go overboard or take concentrated mint oil or supplements. For normal cooking quantity it should be okay, but ask your gynac if you have any doubt.
Yaar normal pudina in your food is totally fine, I used to add it in raita and it actually helped my acidity. Just keep it like a kitchen ingredient, not in huge amounts. Mint tea also was soothing for me actually.
As a flavour in food, mint is okay in moderate amounts. I used it in salads and it was refreshing. Just be careful with strong mint teas or oils, keep those minimal, and run anything you are unsure about past your doctor.
