Honestly i live for spicy food and now my MIL keeps telling me to stop everything spicy. Im 11 weeks. Is it actually harmful or is this just the usual ghar ke log advice? curious what others did.
Yes you can eat spicy, it's a myth that it harms the baby. The only real issue is your own gas and acidity, which gets worse in pregnancy. Eat it but in reasonable amounts and not late at night.
We eat spicy and tangy food normally at home, I continued in pregnancy too. Elders say too much heat is bad but mainly it's about your comfort. If acidity troubles you, take it light, otherwise it's okay.
I survived on spicy maggi and pickle through pregnancy, no drama. Baby came out perfectly fine and slightly spicy himself haha. Just dont blame me when the heartburn hits at midnight!
Omg I craved spicy chaat my whole pregnancy and ate it, baby is totally fine. Spicy food is safe, it doesnt harm the baby. Only thing it can give you crazy acidity and heartburn so keep some buttermilk handy yaar.
In my early months spicy food made my nausea and acidity terrible, so I cut it down. It's not unsafe for baby at all, it just depends on your tummy. Listen to your body, if it triggers heartburn go mild for a while.
