My granny made fresh amla murabba and is insisting i eat it daily for immunity. I love it but just want to be sure its fine in pregnancy. anyone had it?
Amla itself is good and low sugar, I had it fresh. Just be careful with amla candy or murabba since those have loads of sugar, especially if your sugar levels are being watched.
Haan beta amla is very good, full of vitamin C and helps with immunity and acidity. I had it as murabba and fresh in small amounts. Just dont overdo it, a little daily is enough.
We use amla at home a lot, it is healthy in moderate amounts. My elders always recommended it for digestion. As long as you eat it like normal food, it is perfectly okay.
Amla in normal food quantity is fine and actually rich in vitamin C. I'd just avoid taking it as a heavy supplement or churan without asking, and check with your doc once if you have acidity issues.
