We were planning to move to a bigger flat but now im in my 2nd trimester and the whole packing-lifting thing is worrying me. Is it ok to shift during pregnancy or should we just wait till after delivery? Anyone done it?
Yes u can shift, just dont lift heavy boxes or furniture urself. Let others do the heavy work and u handle the light stuff or just supervise. I moved in my second pregnancy and it was fine.
I was so stressed about this when we moved! In the end i just made sure i didnt carry anything heavy or stand for too long. Take lots of breaks and dont push urself yaar.
We shifted too and i made sure to first find which hospital is near the new house, that helped a lot. Hire packers for the heavy stuff, its worth it in pregnancy. You only do the labelling and packing small things.
Beta moving is okay but dont strain urself with lifting. In our time we told the pregnant one to just rest in a corner while others did the work. Keep water and a chair near u all day.
If ur pregnancy is normal it should be okay, but since i had some issues my doc told me to avoid stress and heavy work. If u r far along or had any complication, just run it by ur gynac once.
