Can you get periods after conceiving?

I got a positive test but then i had some bleeding around the time my periods were due and now im so confused and a little worried. Planning to call my gynac tomorrow. Did this happen to anyone else?

I had some bleeding early on and thought it was a period, turned out it needed monitoring. So please don't ignore bleeding thinking it's normal periods, get it checked by your gynac to be safe. Better cautious than sorry.

Technically no, once you conceive the actual monthly period stops. But some women get light spotting in early pregnancy, sometimes around when the period was due, and confuse it for one. My doctor said any real bleeding should be reported, not assumed as a period.

Not real periods, but light spotting can happen. Get bleeding checked.

I was so confused by this exact thing because I had a tiny bit of spotting after my test. Apparently it's not a true period. I rang my doctor just to be sure, did anyone else have that early light spotting?

I freaked out when I saw spotting after a positive test, thought I was losing the baby. Doc said light implantation spotting can happen and mine was fine. But she still wanted to see me, so do mention it rather than guessing.
