Im a bit scared honestly. I had some bleeding that i thought was my period but it felt different, lighter and longer. A cousin of mine had ectopic and im now worried. Can the bleeding actually be a normal period in that case? Planning to see my doc soon.
I cant give medical advice but I will share, my bleeding was unusual and not like my normal period and they found it was ectopic on scan. So dont assume bleeding means everything is fine. Get it checked to be safe.
My gynac explained that in ectopic you may get spotting or bleeding that you mistake for a period, but a scan is needed to actually confirm location of the pregnancy. So a bleed doesnt rule out ectopic. She stressed sharp pain plus dizziness needs immediate care.
Please be careful with this, in ectopic the bleeding can look like a period but it is not the same thing. I had irregular bleeding with one sided pain and it turned out serious, so I am glad I went in fast. If you have sharp one sided pain or unusual bleeding, see your doctor urgently.
