1 week after intercourse is usually too early, the hormone isnt enough yet. Best to wait till your period is missed, then test with morning urine. Too early test mostly shows false negative and you'll just stress.
My doctor said home tests are most accurate after a missed period because hCG needs time to build up. At just 1 week you can easily get a wrong result. If you really cant wait, a blood test (beta hCG) can detect earlier. But better to wait few more days.
