Just curious actually. We were doing follicular study while trying and now that I finally conceived I keep wondering what happens to follicles once pregnancy starts. Anyone know how it works?
No, once you're pregnant you stop ovulating so follicles dont keep growing like in a normal cycle. That whole process takes a break till after delivery. If a scan mentioned something specific to you, ask the doctor what they meant.

From what my doctor explained, once you're pregnant the ovaries kind of pause, the hormones that grow follicles each month go quiet so you dont ovulate during pregnancy. So no new egg follicles are maturing while you're carrying. That's why periods stop too.
During my IVF I learned a lot about follicles. After you conceive, the body shifts focus completely, ovulation stops so the monthly follicle growth pauses too.
