Im around 9 weeks and caught a bad cold from my husband, lots of coughing at night. Thoda tension ho raha hai ki it might harm the baccha. Did anyone go through cold n cough in early pregnancy?
I've heard from my elders that normal cold doesn't affect the baby at all. Just take lots of rest and maybe try steam inhalation, it is very safe and gentle.
Oh dear, cold and cough when you already feel like throwing up is the worst combination ever. It doesn't harm the baby directly, but please keep yourself hydrated with warm soups. Avoid self-medicating, okay?

Normal cold is fine but please don't have those sugary cough syrups from the chemist, especially if you need to watch your sugar. Stick to simple ginger tea or hot water gargles, they work wonders.
Honestly, even for a simple cold, please check with your gynac first. Some cough medicines are not safe during pregnancy at all. Don't take any risk and get a safe prescription.
