Does high hcg levels in early pregnancy mean twins?
My beta hcg came back higher than what the doctor expected for my weeks and now im wondering. Twins run in my husbands family so my mind is already racing. Does high hcg really point to twins or can it just be normal variation? scan is next week.
In my ivf journey they tracked hcg closely and high numbers didnt always mean twins. Try to wait for the scan, I know the waiting is hard. Sending you good wishes whatever the result.
High hcg can sometimes be linked to twins but not always, my doc said it varies a lot person to person. The only sure way is the ultrasound. So dont read too much into the number alone.
My hcg was on the higher side and turned out to be twins, but my friend had high hcg with one baby only. So it is not a guarantee at all. The scan will tell you the real story, mine showed two little beans haha.
