My mausi had breast cancer so im a little worried about my own risk. Someone in my family casually said having babies lowers the chances and now im curious if thats actually a real thing. Anyone read about this properly?
I read this somewhere and asked my doctor, she said pregnancy and breastfeeding at younger age may lower risk a little over the long term. But its not a guarantee of anything. She said regular self checks and screening still matter most.
There is some research suggesting that, but its not the reason to have a baby honestly. Best to discuss your personal risk with a doctor, especially if there is family history. They give the most reliable info.
I had heard the same thing back then. Whatever the case, I just made sure to keep up my health checks after baby came. Looking back, staying regular with checkups is what gave me peace.
