My husband smokes and now that we are trying to conceive im a bit worried about the secondhand smoke around me. Im not a smoker myself but ghar pe its hard to avoid. Did this affect anyone here or am i overthinking it?
Yes, smoking is genuinely risky in pregnancy, it can affect the baby's growth and cause complications. Please try to stop completely, and if it's hard, talk to your doctor for support. This is one thing really worth quitting for the baby.
Honestly all doctors strongly advise no smoking during pregnancy, it's linked to low birth weight and other issues. Even secondhand smoke is best avoided. If quitting feels tough, your doctor can help, please dont hesitate to ask.
Beta, please stay away from it for these months, it really can harm the little one. If someone smokes around you, keep your distance too. Your doctor will support you if you need help stopping.
