My thyroid was fine before but recent report shows tsh a bit high and now im worried. Does it naturally go up once you are pregnant? Want to understand before my next appointment.
I had thyroid issue and it does need close watching in pregnancy. Please dont skip the bloods and dont stop or change any tablet on ur own, only as doctor says.
My gynac explained thyroid needs shift during pregnancy so TSH can change, and they keep stricter limits than normal. Thats why they repeat the test each trimester. Definitely keep up the follow ups.
Mine fluctuated a lot during pregnancy actually. Doc kept checking TSH every few weeks and adjusted my dose. Pls do the thyroid test on time, they keep the target a bit lower in pregnancy.
I used to stress over every TSH report honestly. But doc said small changes are expected, they just monitor and manage. Try not to panic, just test on the dates they give na.
Levels and targets do differ in pregnancy from what i understood. Best to let ur endocrinologist or gynac interpret the report, dont go by general numbers online.
