Im on the heavier side and planning to conceive soon. My MIL keeps saying i should lose weight first which is making me anxious. Does it really make a big difference? would love to hear real experiences.
Both extremes matter, too high or too low can cause issues. I just kept a simple balanced diet and short walks since I had no time for gym. Doctor said steady gain is the goal, not zero gain.
For me weight was linked to my gestational diabetes, so they kept a close eye. I was careful with portions and sweets. But honestly let your doctor guide the numbers, dont crash diet.
With my PCOS weight did matter for conceiving and during pregnancy too. Doctor watched my sugar and BP more closely. But please dont stress about it, just eat balanced and follow your gynac.
