I am worried because my early scan was not clear yet and I keep reading scary things. My belly feels bloated but I dont know if that means anything. I am following up with gynac, but has anyone gone through this confusion?
No beta, the typical baby bump growth is from a pregnancy in the uterus. Ectopic doesnt show that way, it shows through pain and bleeding instead. If anything feels off please go for a scan rather than waiting to see ur tummy.
From what my doctor told me, ectopic pregnancies dont make the belly grow like a uterine one because the pregnancy isnt in the uterus. The signs are more about pain and bleeding. Only a scan and hCG levels can confirm it properly.
I had an ectopic and no, my belly didnt grow like a normal pregnancy because the baby cant develop there. What i got instead was one sided pain and spotting. If u suspect ectopic pls dont go by belly size, get an urgent scan, its an emergency.
I had this exact doubt early on. My gynac said dont look at belly size to judge ectopic, an early scan around 6-7 weeks confirms baby is in the right place. That scan put my mind at ease.
