Do's and don ts during pregnancy for first 3 months?
Just entered my first trimester and everyone at ghar is giving me different different advice. Im getting overwhelmed honestly. Can you all tell what to actually do and what to avoid in these starting 3 months?
Do: Sleep as much as you can right now because you won't get any later! Don't: Google every single symptom or you will lose your mind. Also, avoid lifting heavy buckets, let your husband do the chores.
In my experience, the best thing I did was cut down on tea and stop traveling on bumpy roads. I can't give medical advice, but listening to your body and taking rest when tired really works.
In the first trimester, your body is doing major work, so resting is key. Try to eat small, frequent meals to beat the morning sickness. Avoid outside junk food as much as possible to keep infections away.
I am also trying to understand all this, but my mother-in-law says to avoid eating papaya and pineapple completely in these months. And please try to stay happy and read good books.
Listen, the rules are simple. Absolutely no heavy lifting, no self-medication, and no raw papaya. Do take your doctor-prescribed supplements and stay hydrated. That's all you need to focus on.
This phase can feel so delicate and every step feels scary. Do focus on gentle walking and staying calm, and please don't hesitate to call your doctor for any small doubt. You've got this, just take it one day at a time.
Keep it simple and doable. Do eat simple home-cooked meals like khichdi and dahi rice, and do take your folic acid regularly. Don't buy expensive maternity clothes yet, and avoid eating stale food.
