How do you know ectopic pregnancy?

I am early pregnant and have one side pain on and off, so my mind went to ectopic after searching online. I am planning to check with gynac, but I am scared. What symptoms made doctors suspect it in your case?

Early scan is really the only proper way to confirm it, dont rely on symptoms.

I was scared of this too early on. My gynac just did a scan around 6-7 weeks to confirm baby was in the uterus and i relaxed. Maybe ask urs for an early scan if ur anxious?

I had one, so im careful telling people. The signs were sharp one sided pain in my lower tummy and some spotting, and pain in my shoulder later. Pls dont try to guess this at home, if u have one sided pain or bleeding go to the doctor immediately, its serious.

I know this sounds scary but most pregnancies are not ectopic. The warning signs to watch are strong one sided pain, unusual bleeding and feeling faint. If anything like that happens dont wait, go get checked the same day.

My doctor explained ectopic means the embryo implants outside the uterus, usually in the tube. The way they confirm is a blood hCG test plus an early scan. U cant really tell just from symptoms, so an early scan is the safest way to be sure.
