I just found out im pregnant, around 5 weeks. Before i knew i had taken some normal tablets for cold and now im panicking thinking it might have affected the baby. Will definitely ask my gynac but wanted to hear if others worried about this too.
Basically certain medicines can cross to the baby so doctors weigh risk vs benefit. For anything you already take, get it reviewed early in pregnancy. Self medicating is the thing to avoid.
I was on some medication for a condition and my doctor adjusted it carefully once I was pregnant. Please dont stop or start anything on your own either. Let the doctor manage it, that is what kept me and baby safe.
