My home test came positive last week and im so excited but also anxious to actually see something on screen. Gynac said come after some days but i keep wondering how early the scan can pick it up. Anyone here who got an early ultrasound, when did u go?
Usually around 5-6 weeks they can see the sac, and heartbeat comes a little after, near 6-7 weeks. Dont panic if first scan shows nothing much, my gynac repeated mine after 10 days and everything was fine.
My doc told me the transvaginal one detects earlier than the belly scan, like from 5 weeks they can spot the gestational sac. The fetal pole and heartbeat usually show by 6.5 to 7 weeks. She said going too early sometimes just causes worry for nothing.
I went at exactly 6 weeks and I felt so nervous, they did the internal scan and we could just barely see a tiny sac. The doctor said wait another week for heartbeat and that wait was the longest of my life honestly.
I'm 5 weeks now and confused if I should book scan already or wait. Reading this thread it sounds like waiting a bit is better na? Dont want to go and see nothing and stress.
Beta dont rush to scan the moment test shows positive. Around 6-7 weeks is the right time so the baby is big enough to see properly. Going too soon only gives you tension.
