My gynac has asked me to get a doppler done next week and i have no idea what to expect. is it like a normal scan or something different? a bit nervous so if someone can tell me how it actually goes that would help.
I had a doppler scan around third trimester. My doctor said its like a normal ultrasound but it checks blood flow in the cord and to the baby. No pain at all, just the gel and the probe on your belly, takes a few minutes.
I had a couple of dopplers because they were monitoring my baby closely. It was completely painless, just lying there while they checked the flow. Nothing to be scared of, it actually reassured me.
