This is our first month trying and I am honestly clueless about timing. We had sex near ovulation but now I keep wondering when pregnancy actually happens inside. How long after sex can it be known?
It's not instant, sperm can wait a few days and fertilisation happens around ovulation, then it takes about a week for it to implant. My doc said this is why u cant test the very next day. Whole thing is roughly 2-3 weeks before a test shows.
Same thing confused me too! It's all about being close to the fertile window apparently, not right after. The actual positive test took me a couple weeks to show.
I had the same doubt when we started trying. Learnt it depends on ovulation timing, not the moment itself. We tracked the fertile days, took us a few months. Be patient with urself.
Conception only happens if u were near ovulation, sperm survives a few days waiting for the egg. So it's not 'after sex' immediately, give it the cycle and test after ur missed period.
